Sharing the Love with Tallgrass Grocery Coop

Tonight we’re hanging out with our sustainable friends over at the Tallgrass Grocery Coop, They hosted their annual meeting tonight at Val Air Ballroom, just one of the example of how being a member of a sustainable organization gets people connected, sharing good vibes and helps the local food industry grow. Plus they had a fabulous cocktail hour and potluck. Nom nom.

Coop is a retail cooperative that strives to provide access to healthy, locally-grown organic food and products at prices that respect the livelihoods of local producers and the budgets of consumers.

Tallgrass opened in September of this year and is managed by its member-owners.

Being a part of Tallgrass means that you get to help grow the business, the community and spread awareness. It’s a group of sustainable people that want to connect to make a difference in the local area food system. Considering the average meal has traveled 1,500 miles from farm to plate, Tallgrass has the right changes in mind.

Freshness abounds inside Tallgrass
